Events
Here are examples of activities we do throughout the year.
Social
- Spring and fall camping are some of our most popular events. We fill a local campground with Catholic families, all culminating in Saturday night Mass and potluck (weather and priest permitting). Families stay 2-4 nights, or just come for the day on Saturday.
- MNO/MMO: regular mom’s night out or morning out. Sometimes this is at restaurants and purely social, and sometimes at a host home learning knitting, soap-making, nutrition, etc.
- Ice cream social
- Father Daughter dance (additional fee – typically $25 per family)
- Father Son event
- Mother Son event (may have an additional fee)
- Mother Daughter Tea
- Fall and Spring family camping (families pay for their own site reservation)
- Family fun night
- Family dance night with an instructor (may have an additional fee)
- Talent show
- Park Days twice a month
- Teen activities
Spiritual celebrations
- Mary’s Birthday picnic with a cupcake rosary
- All Saints Party where adults and kids dress up as their favorite saint and play saint inspired carnival games.
- Pentecost party
- Works of mercy – 2-4 events per year serving the bodies and souls of our neighbors
- May Crowning – honoring Our Lady, as well as this year’s graduates and recipients of sacraments with a procession, floral crowning, and party after a Friday morning Mass
Educational
- Field Trips – 1 to 2 per quarter, typically on Fridays.
- Other activities we’e had in the past as interest arises: Spelling bee, geography bee, science fair, social studies fair, extracurricular co-op
